WORLD'S BIGGEST AIRPLANE IN ANKARA FOR WORLD'S BIGGEST HUMANITARIAN AID...

After the earthquake in Pakistan, Reibel transported tons of humanitarian aid by world's biggest airplane Antonov 225 with the cooperation of Turkish Red Crescent Society.

The world's biggest aircraft Antonov 225, with the 640 tons maximum take off weight, 250 tons of loading capacity, 1200 m3 volume, 6 Stage 3 engines, has flown to Ankara to carry the humanitarian aid for Pakistan.

The pcn value of the Islamad airport was not suitable for the landing of Antonov 225 therefore the operation completed by doing two flights from Ankara with devided load.

On the first operation, she carried approximately 180 tons of humanitarian aid like "mobile bread baker" with dimensions of 2.50 width, 4.20 height and 17 tons weight and a sondage machine connected to a truck with the weight of 14 tons. As a cumulative it became 360 tons of cargo carried on both operations.

In November 2004, FAI placed the An-225 in the Guinness Book of Records for its 240 records.
